Step into your power with “Self-Advocacy for Equity” (S.A.F.E.), an inspiring in-person workshop series led by its author and the founder of C.A.R.E. Wellness Center. This five-part experience introduces key techniques from her groundbreaking workbook, and is designed to support BIPOC individuals navigating trauma and seeking personal and collective empowerment. Through peer support healing circles, engaging activities, and interactive Q&A sessions, participants will explore their values, build confidence, and develop practical tools to advocate for themselves and promote equity within their communities. This series is part of the future C.A.R.E. wellness program and offers a unique opportunity to shape its development through shared feedback. 🌿 Nature Therapy Workshops with Alisa McDuff 🌿
Experience the healing power of nature in C.A.R.E.’s Nature Therapy Workshops—now offered in a condensed 20-hour showcase format designed to introduce our full curriculum and raise funding for its future launch. We combine GRuB’s “Plant Teachings for Growing Social and Emotional Skills” with Alisa’s workbook “Resilient Roots: Ancestral Wisdom and Plant-Based Healing”. Rooted in native plant teachings, herbalism, and holistic therapies, this trauma-informed program supports individuals facing stress, anxiety, or symptoms of trauma. Through a blend of indoor and outdoor sessions, participants engage in hands-on garden projects, wild food recipes, and nature-based activities that nurture self-esteem, confidence, and emotional resilience. Bring a lunch (kitchen on site) - Park on Bing Ct. on both side of the street, up to but not past the no parking sign. Limited spots are the east lot. Accessible parking in front of the farmhouse by the front door.
